A 1983 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Whitman has been at this clinic since 1985. He has seen the practice transition from primarily livestock production animal medicine to increasingly small animal focus.
He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially surgery and equine practice. Dr. Whitman has two adult children and lives in rural Chatsworth with his wife, Jo, one dog, two cats and three horses.
Dr. Wright, Veterinarian
Dr. Wright graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2016 and has been with Whitman Veterinary Clinic ever since. She enjoys the many different facets of mixed animal rural practice, but has a particular interest in imaging and small ruminants. She currently lives outside of Chatsworth with her husband, Jason, two Great Danes, two Siamese cats, and a plethora of chickens. They will be expecting their first child, a baby girl, in July of 2021.
Ruth - Veterinary Assistant
Ruth has worked part time at Whitman Veterinary Clinic as a veterinary assistant for 12 years. She has a love of big dogs and lives outside of Chatsworth with her two Mastiffs, two cats, and husband Jim.
Samantha - Veterinary Assistant
Samantha graduated from Joliet Junior College in 2005. She previously worked at a small animal clinic in Chatham, IL for 8 years before moving back to her home town of Fairbury in 2018. She has been with Whitman Veterinary Clinic since July of 2018.
Samantha grew up raising Pygmy goats, horses, and German Shepherds. Samantha’s young daughter shares in her joy of helping and rescuing animals.
